This Wednesday, we corrupt artist Ian Permana with his first ever officially licensed movie poster for The Hobbit!
Ian’s richly detailed and narrative-based art caught our eye immediately. Ian’s art is often based around building worlds and stories where humans are the smallest piece of a larger expanse. With The Hobbit, we were able to challenge Ian to bring his unique style of worldbuilding and art to a venerable and pre-established world, Middle Earth, and the result is tremendous! Ian’s colors offer both an aesthetic and thematic point of brilliance, as they hint at a powerful corruption awaiting our beloved characters.
